Aintree	Map Left Handed tight track with easy finish & difficult fences. Liverpool City centre - best pubs the Baltic (Sefton Street); Kirklands (Hardman Street); Rigbys (Dale Street); the Vernon (Dale Street); The Globe (Cases Street); the Golden Lion (Moorfields). All well worth a visit if you've the time. The pubs near the course are noisy and characterless.
Ascot	Map Right Handed Stiff, galloping track, severe test in soft & quite difficult fences. A High draw in big fields over 1m 4f is an advantage, low on soft.
Ayr	Map Left Handed Flat galloping track with an Easy Finish. A Low draw is best at 7f Tam O'Shanter pub, in Ayr town centre (the only UK place named after a Brazillian F1 driver).
Bangor-on-Dee	Map Left Handed Tight track, with an easy finish & difficult fences. Cross Keys Pub at Erbistock and the Mill at Llangollen.
Bath	Map Left Handed track with an Uphill run-in. Low draw best under 1m.
Beverley	Map Right Handed track with Uphill run-in, testing. High Draw a big advantage over 5f-7f especially firm.
Brighton	Map Left Handed track, downhill, easy, suits handy types Low draw better up to 1m Rottingdean turn right at Traffic lights Downs Hotel is on the junction. Checkers in Preston Street by the casino.
Carlisle	Map Right Handed track, Uphill run-in, undulating with Very Easy fences. High Draw best up to 1m. The Black Lion Pub at Durdar, about 1/2 a mile from the track on Durdar Road. The Old Crown in Hesket Newmarket a few miles south of the city The Roadhouse at night is good..Weatherspoons is not bad
Cartmel	Map Left Handed track, Undulating, tight track,Steep Finish
Catterick	Map Left Handed track, Sharp, undulating with easy fences. High best draw at 7f.
Cheltenham	Map Left Handed track, undulating, stiff,Steep Finish, difficult fences. High Roost Pub on Cleve Hill The Balloon on the Roman Rd from Swindon Rising Sun or Beehive in town in Montpellier
Chepstow	Map Left Handed track, Undulating, gallopers unsuited, easy finish with difficult fences. High best draw best on straight course.
Chester	Map Left Handed track, Favours handy types, short run-in. Low draw big advantage especially in sprints.
Doncaster	Map Left Handed track, Flat, easy, suits gallopers & front runners, difficult fences. High draw best on straight course, I prefer a low draw on the round course.
Epsom	Map Left Handed track, Downhill, favours handy types. High draw best over 5F / Low 7F+. Derby Arms - impossible on Derby Day so try Kings Head on College Road or Rising Sun - Heathcote Rd or Barley Mow
Exeter	Map Right Handed track, Undulating, galloping with an uphill Finish.
Fakenham	Map Left Handed track, Undulating, very tight track with an easy finish.
Folkestone	Map Right Handed track, Galloping Slightly undulating with difficult fences. High draw best in sprints.
Fontwell	Map Left Handed track, Tight track, Easy Finish
Goodwood	Map Right Handed track Undulating, favours handy sort. High draw best 7f+. The Globe Pub by the railway station Black Rabbit in Arundel right on the river Arun food ok beer good J. Dunlops mob drink in The Bridge a pub in the town centre bottom of the hill by the bridge.
Hamilton	Map Right Handed track, Undulating, severe hill at finish. High draw is best, especially in soft ground. The Cricklewood Hotel, Bothwell The Bay Horse, 2 minutes from track.
Haydock Park	Map Left Handed track, Flat, galloping, Easy Finish with Difficult fences. High draw best at 5f.
Hereford	Map Right Handed track, Galloping track, Easy Finish. The Bull in own centre. The Victory and The Barrells. Both in the centre of town. The Victory has its own brewery while the Barrells sells Wye Valley beers. Both pubs very friendly and reasonably priced.
Hexham	Map Left Handed track, Galloping track, Steep Finish. The Dipton Mill. Very picturesque pub that sells locally brewed beer and does good food. (About a mile from the raceourse. Quite difficult to find but well worth the search.)
Huntingdon	Map Right Handed track, Galloping track, Easy Finish Difficult.
Kelso	Map Left Handed track, Tight with an easy finish.
Kempton	Map Right Handed, Flat, Tight track, with an Easy Finish and difficult fences. High draw best on round course. Marquis of something or other at the roundabout from the A3.
Leicester	Map Right Handed track, galloping, downhill rises to steep finish. squash / gym/bar/and evening meals a great place to stay if your at the races it's called `THE CHASE`
Lingfield Park	Map Left Handed track, Sharp, undulating, All weather 'Polytrack', short run-in. Low draw Best at 5f, 6f & 1m2f Try the black and white painted pub by the roundabout in the Lingfield town Centre good food.
Ludlow	Map Right Handed track, Galloping track, Easy Finish.
Market Rasen	Map Right Handed, Tight track, Easy Finish with Quite Difficult fences.
Musselburgh	Map Right Handed Flat tight track High draw best 7f+, low in big field sprints. Ma Formans Pub, at 6F start. Levenhall Arms immediately next door Staggs at the back of the Brunton hall in North High Street & The Ship Inn.
Newbury	Map Left Handed, flat galloping track. Low draw best at 8f, High straight. The Rampant Cat in Broad Layings, signposted from the Andover road just off the bypass south west of the town. Excellent range of beers and good food with eccentric landlord.Fox & Hounds on the Lambourn road Harvey's pub in Kingston Lisle
Newcastle	Map Left Handed track, Uphill run-in, galloping. Low draw helps in sprints on soft. Walkers Pub in City Centre.
Newmarket	Map Left Handed track with an Uphill run-in, galloping. The Waggon and Horses Pub is probably the best pub in town but most people - especially those wanting to eat - go to the villages such as Dullingham (King's Head), Ashley (The Old Plough), Fordham (White Pheasant) & the Star at (Lidgate).
Newton Abbot	Map Left Handed Tight track, Easy Finish. Kings Head Pub in town centre
Nottingham	Map Left Handed flat track.
Perth	Map Right Handed Very tight track, Easy Finish. The Anglers Rest..past the Strawberry fields
Plumpton	Map Left Handed Undulating, tight track, Easy Finish & difficult fences. The Bull in Ditchling or Rainbow ex food at Cooksbridge
Pontefract	Map Left Handed track with an uphill short run-in, undulating. Low draw best in sprints, high on soft to 1m.
Redcar	Map Left Handed track, Flat, galloping Working Mens Club...cheap beer
Ripon	Map Right Handed Sharp undulating track. Sprints: low on firm, high on soft. The STATION HOTEL, North Road, Just off the By-Pass as you make your way to the racecourse.
Salisbury	Map Right Handed track, Uphill run-in, galloping. The Hillside Grill, The Bridge Inn at Upper Woodford.
Sandown	Map Right Handed track, Uphill last 7f, testing. High draw best in sprints. The Bear in Esher
Sedgefield	Map Left Handed Undulating, tight track, Easy Finish.
Southwell	Map Left Handed tight track, All weather 'Fibresand'.
Stratford	Map Left Handed Very tight track, Easy Finish.
Taunton	Map Right Handed Galloping track, Easy Finish & Quite Difficult fences.

York	Map Left Handed Flat, galloping track. Low draw best at 10f+ in big fields. The Cygnet Pub..about 10 mins walk from course along Scarcroft Rd. The Ship Inn at Acaster Malbis. About 5 minutes in a taxi. Fantastic olde worlde pub with a beer garden overlooking the river Ouse. Ideal on a nice summers day.
